ABOUT US
Noita Winery harvests hand-picked organic grapes from Burgenland, Austria, and
transports them directly from the vine to our winery in Fiskars Village, Finland.
Once the grapes arrive, we give them as much respect as our
organic growers do. With as low an intervention as possible, we sort,
crush, macerate and press the grapes and allow them to spontaneously
ferment with their own native yeasts. We use zero, or as little sulphur
as possible and a full list of ingredients, process and grape origin is
communicated on the bottle. We will not fine nor filter.
Once we’ve finished with the lees and skins, we use them to produce spritzers. After that, we pass them to our friends
at Fiskars Brewery to make some really special beers... and once they’re
finished with them, we distill them for our “Grape Pomace Moonshine”. Even after that, what is left will be used a biogas.
That means grapes arriving in the village will be used five times!

We’re Finland’s first urban winery, based in the not-so-urban Fiskars
Village. Fiskars is a small, creative community of only 600 permanent
residents, one hour west of Helsinki.
What’s an Urban Winery?
Urban wineries are predominantly non-vinyard owning wine producers.
The concept has gained popularity across the globe in recent years, with new
urban wineries opening in London, Paris, Amsterdam and Gothenburg...and
now in Fiskars! Urban winemaking moves the production of wine into
cooler climates and urban locations, whilst fostering prosperous
relationships with grape growers.
It also gives the winemakers enormous
flexibility, allowing them to harvest grapes from multiple growers
across France, Austria, Spain, Italy, Germany and many more
wine-producing territories across Europe.
